Meet Nat

A Queer Neurodivergent therapist in Nashville meeting you where you are

Hi, I’m Nat (they/them)! As a non-binary autistic therapist, I primarily work with Neurodivergent and Queer youth and adults.

I believe everyone has the innate capacity for healing and it is not something that you need to do alone. I will meet you with compassion, care, and curiosity as we approach what you are hoping to get out of therapy.

Feeling genuinely supported and cared for while discovering my own identity in therapy is what led me to pursue being a therapist. I see walking with clients on their own healing journey as an honor that I do not take lightly.

Some identities that my clients often hold include: Autistic or AuDHD (especially late identified); Aro/Ace spectrum; polyamorous and non-monogamous; trans, non-binary, and gender expansive. Whether you are seeking out therapy because you want to explore or want support with these identities, or you just happen to hold these identities and your reason for wanting therapy is not directly related, it is deeply important to me that you feel seen and valued in who you are including and beyond these identities and experiences.

I specialize in supporting clients with identity exploration along with trauma focused work, specifically with complex and relational trauma. I am trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR and also use a relational approach to therapy to support clients in healing from trauma.

I use a combination of approaches in my therapeutic work. Providing trauma informed care is foundational to all the work I do in therapy. I aim to be affirming of all Neurodivergence, including experiences beyond Autism and ADHD - like OCD, plurality, and BPD to name a few Neurotypes I have experience working with. I also provide therapy through a sex-positive lens in which I value and respect all expressions of consensual relationships and sexual experiences.

When I am not working, I spend my time resting, adoring my dog Joey, walking and exploring outside (where there are minimal bugs), enjoying food and frozen treats, creating art and trinkets, and collecting Jellycats and books. I aim to embody and practice rest, slowness, trust, curiosity, creativity, and community in my personal and professional life.

I know reaching out for support can be hard, and I hope to foster a therapeutic space where you feel seen, valued, and understood! Please click the link to schedule a free consultation!
